He needs a new editor, but other than that, he is a very adept storyteller. Read this one 6 times, too. Buy it, you won't regret it.
Again, another book of twisted stories. Karma truly comes around to the character's in this book, and you find yourself cheering for the killers, saying "that's what you get you SOB!" Tower of tears was extremely heart wrenching, but readers, PLEASE do not hold this against the author. He was very respectful of the subject matter. The rest of the stories that do not fit in the karma chunk, are just well written, twisted, with a great touch of sarcasm.
Great mix of macabre and mankind shows what a talented author can do to make our flesh crawl!
I loved them all and hope to read more of his work.
A great read for me as I enjoy reading before bed. Much more enjoyable to read a short story than one that keeps you awake wanting to read on. Had some unpredictable endings which was nice since you kind of get used to short stories and where they are going to lead.
I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this! These stories were well written and thought provoking. I was alternately scared and saddened by these stories. Mr. Johnson can write! I would recommend this book to anyone.
You will cry at one but the rest you're going to rethink about being a participant for human trials for medical. There is another where you go that's what you get you bastard! And the cake lady..well that's a bit disgusting. Time for me to go on a diet!!!
Glen Johnson Does it again. I will never understand how one mind can cook so many truly excellent stories. I greatly enjoyed this read. This is the type of book that will have not wanting to put it down till it is finished. As of yet i have not read a book from this guy that i have not loved. This one is no exception. I highly recommend Lobsters and landmines, and encourage readers to seek out the rest of his books as well. You wont regret it!!
